Biography
Short Bio
Wei Zhang is a professor and PhD supervisor at the School of Computer Science, East China Normal University, and the Shanghai Institute for Intelligent Education.
He is a senior member of the China Computer Federation (CCF) and an executive member of the Database Committee.
He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the School of Computer Science and Technology at Harbin Institute of Technology and earned his PhD from the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University.
His doctoral dissertation received the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award from Tsinghua University.
During his PhD studies, he conducted a research visit at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Wei Zhang has long been engaged in research in data mining, machine learning, and intelligent education.
He has published over 100 papers in important international journals and prestigious academic conferences, with over 50 papers in CCF A-level journals and conferences.
He has applied for more than 10 national invention patents, with 7 already granted. He has led or attended key R&D projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology, projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has received awards such as the Shanghai Computer Society's Teaching Achievement First Prize and the ACM SIGMOD China Rising Star Award.
His students have also achieved top placements in academic competitions at leading international conferences.
张伟，华东师范大学计算机学院/上海智能教育研究院教授、博士生导师，中国计算机学会高级会员、数据库专委会执行委员。
本科毕业于哈尔滨工业大学计算机科学与技术学院，博士毕业于清华大学计算机科学与技术系，博士论文获清华大学优秀博士学位论文。攻读博士期间，曾在美国伊利诺伊大学香槟分校进行访学。
长期从事数据挖掘、机器学习、智能教育等领域研究，在国际重要刊物和著名学术会议上发表论文100余篇（CCF A类期刊和会议论文50余篇），申请国家发明专利10余项（已授权7项）。
主持科技部重点研发课题、国家自然科学基金重大培育和面上项目等，曾获上海市计算机学会教学成果一等奖、ACM SIGMOD 中国新星奖，指导学生获得多项国际顶级会议学术竞赛冠亚军。
